Calif. Democrat: Obama 'Didn't Deserve' Nobel Prize in 2009, But 'Deserves' It Now for Iran Deal

By Craig Millward

(CNSNews.com) -

Speaking to fellow supporters of the Iran nuclear deal outside his Long Beach, Calif. office last week, Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D-Calif.) said President Obama "didn't deserve" the Nobel Peace Prize when he was first elected, but he "deserves it" now for the Iran nuclear deal.

"This is a very complex world we live in. I'm just so grateful that we're moving towards diplomacy and peaceful resolution of conflict, and the ability to have the most effective non-proliferation nuclear treaty with inspections," Lowenthal told 200 activists on what they billed as a "No War With Iran Day of Action."

"On the other hand, nobody in any of these deals goes home feeling like you won everything. These are very complicated -- you have to give up things."

"And you know, while everyone would have liked to have had a deal that lasted for ever and ever and ever and ever, we knew two years ago that was not on the table. We knew that we would have to kind of figure out, how we can just be sure that they do not get a nuclear weapon.

"This is -- I mean, there is no other better way to do it. We've never had inspections like this in any non-proliferation treaty. We've never had the amount of at-bat sanctions -- we've never had any of that, never before and I just -- I really believe this, and I'll just kind of end it here: President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize when he was first elected, which he didn't deserve. Now he's not going to win it, but he deserves it for this."

President Obama was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize at the very beginning of his presidency "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."

WaPo Writer: Black Votes Should Count For More Than White Votes

A writer over at The Washington Post has a bold new proposal he believes can heal the American racial divide: empower blacks by making their votes count more than those of other races.

“Racial reconciliation is impossible without some kind of broad-based, systemic reparations,” writes Theodore R. Johnson, a former White House fellow and current Ph.D candidate in law and policy at Northeastern University. “But if a pecuniary answer can’t fix the structural disadvantage — and it can’t — what can?”

The answer, Johnson argues, is simple: weighted voting, where black votes count for more than white ones. Specifically, Johnson suggests giving each black person five-thirds of a vote, to reverse the old three-fifths compromise written into the U.S. Constitution.

As Johnson gleefully notes, counting black votes more than others would significantly alter many elections in the U.S. In the 2012 election, several Southern states with high black populations, such as Mississippi and Georgia, would have swung over to Barack Obama’s column, and their recent Senate races would have been decided in Democrats’ favor as well.

Johnson justifies his argument by saying it’s the only way to solve the “structural disadvantages” faced by blacks.

“A five-thirds compromise would imbue African Americans with a larger political voice that could be used to fight the structural discrimination expressed in housing, education, criminal justice and employment,” he says. “Allowing black votes to count for 167 percent of everyone else’s would mean that 30 million African American votes would count as 50 million, substituting super-votes for the implausible idea of cash payments.” With black voters so massively empowered, politicians will have no choice to but to put black priorities first if they hope to remain in office.

Johnson pays lip service to the important democratic principle of “one man, one vote,” but then dismisses it on grounds that the term is “unclear,” by pointing to a Supreme Court case that has nothing to do with the topic of explicitly giving one racial group super-votes.

Having taken care of his justification of the policy itself, Johnson goes into detail about how it should be constructed. He says it only needs to last for a set period of time (he proposes 24 years), and he also proposes taking inspiration from the Bureau of Indian Affairs for handling the thorny topic of who counts as black and who doesn’t.

To conclude, Johnson forthrightly says that only reverse racism will be sufficient to achieve the goal of racial justice.

“Of course, weighted-vote reparations are
only slightly more politically feasible than a multi-trillion-dollar payout,” he says. “But we have to consider novel approaches to racial reconciliation … if we are serious about ridding the nation of barriers to opportunity and overcoming the racial discrimination woven into America’s fabric. If racism is the culprit, then dismantling it requires the same tools that constructed it.”

Top Activist and Author: It’s ‘Clear’ That Climate Change Is Making Racism Worse

by Katherine Timpf
According to Naomi Klein, this is “clear.” According to social activist and best-selling author Naomi Klein, climate change isn’t just destroying our planet — it’s making racism worse, too.

“You see that in Australia where the treatment of migrants is a profound moral crisis,” she said, according to a piece published in The Guardian.

“It’s clear that as sea levels rise that this mean streak and open racism is going to become more extreme – climate change is an accelerant to all those other issues,” she continued.

Yes — “clear.” The idea that racism rises with the sea is just so “clear” that no further evidence or explanation is needed. Climate change is making people more mean, and that is just a fact.

If you’re dying to know more, you’re in luck: Klein has written plenty of books about climate change, including This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate and The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism, which MSNBC host Rachel Maddow praised as “the only book of the last few years in American publishing that I would describe as a mandatory must-read.”

That’s a compelling endorsement, but I still don’t think I’ll read it — after all, the fact that Klein is totally right is already so “clear.”

ISIS Enshrines a Theology of Rape

The Rationale for rape is  beyond comment:

Claiming the Quran’s support, the Islamic State
codifies sex slavery in conquered regions of Iraq
and Syria and uses the practice as a recruiting tool.

Written by RUKMINI CALLIMACHI;

QADIYA, Iraq — In the moments before he raped the 12-year-old girl, the Islamic State fighter took the time to explain that what he was about to do was not a sin. Because the preteen girl practiced a religion other than Islam, the Quran not only gave him the right to rape her — it condoned and encouraged it, he insisted.

He bound her hands and gagged her. Then he knelt beside the bed and prostrated himself in prayer before getting on top of her.

When it was over, he knelt to pray again, bookending the rape with acts of religious devotion.

“I kept telling him it hurts — please stop,” said the girl, whose body is so small an adult could circle her waist with two hands. “He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God,” she said in an interview alongside her family in a refugee camp here, to which she escaped after 11 months of captivity...“He kept telling me this is ibadah,” she said, using a term from Islamic scripture meaning worship.

HILLARY ON SNAPCHAT: I LOVE HOW MESSAGES ‘DISAPPEAR ALL BY THEMSELVES’

Clinton makes light of FBI criminal investigation into whether highly classified information was dealt with improperly

by THE HILL | ELLIOT SMILOWITZ |

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton may be facing a lot of trouble for her private email server, but she’s not letting the scandal take away her sense of humor.

Clinton joked at the annual Iowa Democratic Wing Ding on Friday that social media service Snapchat, known for messages that disappear instantly, is perfect for her.

“By the way, you may have seen that I have recently launched a Snapchat account,” she said. “I love it — those messages disappear all by themselves.”

Despite her joke, Democrats are worried that the furor surrounding her private email server will be prolonged and intensified after her sudden move to hand it over to the FBI this week.

Walmart Begins 'Gray Bag' Collection after Realizing Gendered Clothing is Wrong

Here comes Gender Free Clothing because we should not think/act like males or females.
The first article below is true.
In the second one, someone decided to have some fun.

According to Bloomberg, Target has decided to remove the gender labels from many of their children’s departments. This came after an outpouring of complaints from customers regarding gendered signage.
“The kids’ bedding section will no longer feature boy and girl signage, and the toy department will be without labels and pink or blue paper on the shelves, Minneapolis-based Target said on its website Friday.”
Target added:
“We heard you, and we agree. Right now, our teams are working across the store to identify areas where we can phase out gender-based signage to help strike a better balance.”
However, Bloomberg reports that Target isn’t going all the way:
“Gender labels will remain in the kids’ clothing section because of sizing and fit differences.”
Source

Satire:
Not to be outdone, Walmart has decided to remove all gender labels. As part of its new initiative, Walmart will no longer sell gendered or sized clothing items to anyone of any age, but instead, one-size-fits-all gray bags, designed to make everyone equal in appearance.

Of the transition into non-gendered, non-sized clothing, recently appointed Vice President of Homogenization Jess Moreno said:
“We’ve heard your complaints, and we’ve listened. Bras, panties, boxers, tee shirts, blouses, slacks, dresses, fitted jeans, and button-ups no longer represent the society we’ve become. We now recognize that everyone is everything. We don’t have the right to assign gender, race, sexual identity, or size to anyone, and to recognize this, we’ve given up all those things, and started our gray bag collection.”
Marci, an obese, lesbian, trans-racial gender studies major at Vassar, was thrilled when she first heard about the gray bag collection, saying:
“Finally, a store that doesn’t label me without my consent! It’s so refreshing to look over a sea of gray bags, and know that I can simply pick one out (with my eyes closed, if I want), avoid emotional triggers like sizes, and colors, and walk out feeling affirmed.”
Marci’s anorexic, transgender, cohabitation partner Leslie was equally pleased:
“As a transgender anorexic, buying clothes was always a nightmare. I would walk out of the store feeling judged, and it would take weeks of affirmation therapy to regain my self-worth. But now, we all look the same because of the gray bag collection.”
When asked what’s next for Walmart, Moreno, who is gender-unidentified his/her/itself said:
“Fingers crossed, Walmart may go light-free. We believe that wandering the store in total darkness is the next step in our equalization process.”
Moreno says to expect Walmart to be light-free as early as 2016.

Memories: 10 Priceless Quotes From The Present Oval Office Occupant

Quotes from the eloquent one's mouth:

#1. “You didn’t build that.”

President Obama was here paraphrasing socialist Democrat and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. Warren’s speech was a full throated dismissal of private property and embrace of collectivism over individual liberty. While Warren’s defense of big government was artful, Obama’s statement was a clumsy rehash which inflamed the business and free market communities against him. While spending years fighting against the “socialist” label, he bluntly adopted their rhetoric in this speech.

#2. “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period.”

This will go down in history as President Obama’s biggest lie he ever told. Obamacare swept away the old insurance industry, introducing sweeping reforms that forced millions out of their plans, losing their doctors, and in some cases tripling their premiums. Obamacare is widely seen as a blow at the self-employed middle class, as it punished those who were most likely to be buying insurance individually through the private market. President Obama’s baldfaced lie is doing untold damage to the economy in the United States.
#3. “I am not in favor of concealed weapons. I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations.”
President Obama isn’t for concealed weapons… unless they’re his security guards. What a total hypocrite. The man is surrounded by more concealed weapons than probably any other individual on earth. Rich and powerful liberals only believe in gun control for the proletariat. Of course people such as themselves should be exempt from any laws they’d pass against us. Thank heaven for the 2nd amendment.

#4. “Guantanamo will be closed no later than one year from now.”
This has to be one of the most disappointing quotes from the president, as it is a failure on his part to bring about reforms where it is needed. Instead of focusing on expanding civil liberties and restoring constitutional law, the president instead introduced socialized medicine. In the process was forgotten the promises to close the extra-constitutional prison in Guantanamo Bay, resulting in a decrease in national security through prisoners being released and rejoining the battle against the United States. If we have the best judicial system in the world, why can’t we use it to try those prisoners in it?

#5. “It’s here that companies like Solyndra are leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.”
One of the president’s most colossal gaffes was when the company which had received $535 million in taxpayer-funded loan guarantees from his administration went belly up.

Missing People That the Parks Don’t Want You to Know About

foggy forrestWhen the "authorities" do not tell the truth, the conspiracy box opens with a bang. Just what on earth is going on that the loved ones of the missing cannot be told the truth?
by Joshua Krause
Not to sound like a braggart, but there aren’t very many things in this world that genuinely scare me. I don’t have any phobias, I don’t worry about serial killers when I leave the house at night, I’m not terrified of being eaten by animals when I go into the woods (though I remain cautious), and when things go bump in the night, ghosts and demons do not come to mind. In other words, I’m no scaredy-cat.

But I have a confession to make. There is only one thing that keeps me up at night from time to time. It’s the stories from the book series titled “Missing 411.” That title may sound innocuous, but I assure you that if you read some of the stories within, you’d lose sleep too.

The books are written by former San Jose Police Detective David Paulides. He’s spent thousands of hours researching numerous cases of people going missing in America’snational parks and national forests. However, the cases he talks about are not ordinary. To be frank, they are downright bizarre, and they defy all explanation. These are cases that can’t be explained as being caused by accidents, animal attacks, or even criminals.

Even people whose minds are a little too open, and jump to conclusions like “aliens did it” or “it must be Bigfoot,” are often at a loss for words when they hear about these cases. In fact, Paulides makes a point of not trying to pin a suspect for these missing people. These stories are just too baffling to jump to any conclusions. They kind of make your brain hurt when you think about them.

Most of the cases involve children, and they have many chilling similarities. The kids often disappear out of thin air, sometimes just a few feet away from their parents, and close to numerous witnesses. Sometimes they are found several days later in perfect health, with no memory of the events that transpired. Other times they are found dead, vast distances from where they went missing, over terrain that most adults would struggle with, and in inclement weather.

Some of these people vanish, only to show up hours or days later in areas that search and rescue teams had combed over numerous times before. Sometimes, they’re never found, even though the plausible search area is small and there are an abundance of professionals looking for them.

But it’s the similarities in these cases that leave you dumbfounded. They’re so random and yet so consistent. These people almost always disappear right before record breaking storms show up, almost as if the “thing” that’s taking them knows that it’ll stifle search efforts. The missing are usually children, and they’re always wearing bright clothing. There are physical features of the landscape that show up all the time as well. These people often go missing around berry bushes and granite rocks, and when they’re found, it’s usually in dry creek beds. There are also certain parks that are hotspots for this activity, such as Yosemite National Park, which has racked up a shocking number of disappearances.

When you read one of these stories, you know it’s strange, but when you find the similarities between all of them, of which there are hundreds, you can’t help but feel that that something incredibly mysterious and scary is at work here.

What makes these cases extra spooky, is the reaction of the National Park Service, law enforcement, and the media. As strange as it may sound, the Park Service doesn’t keep any official record of the people that go missing in their lands, which is totally unheard of. In some of these cases, evidence has been withheld from the families by the police and the media, or they’ve been outright lied to.

But after reading these stories, you almost can’t blame them. When you see how they investigate them and respond to scrutiny, you get the sense that even they have no idea what’s going on.

Fortunately, people like David Paulides are working hard to raise awareness. He’s appeared on numerous radio shows, podcasts, and newscasts, both mainstream and alternative. A cursory Youtube search will yield hundreds of chilling interviews with him. Right now he’s working on a documentary and is trying to raise money on Kickstarter for the project. Check out the trailer that his production team has made (which features a few familiar faces) and good luck getting any sleep tonight.

South Carolina Pastors Join in Taqiyya: Call on Christians to View Anti-Christ Muslims as “Brothers and Sisters”

by Tim Brown

In York County, South Carolina, a group of 23 “pastors” (and yes, I use the term lightly) have gotten behind a push by a liberal PCUSA pastor to call Christians to view Islamists as “brothers and sisters.”

Sam McGregor, pastor at Allison Creek Presbyterian Church near Lake Wylie, spoke with Freedom Outpost following a local article that stirred up a hornets’ nest.

From The Kerry Chronicles " Iran Chanting ‘Death to America’ Does Not Mean They Want To Kill Us" -

He never disappoints. Kerry shines again!

Secretary of State John Kerry said Iran’s government chanting ‘DEATH TO AMERICA’ does not mean they want to kill Americans.

Kerry also claims he has not seen the video of Iran’s dictator calling for all Muslim’s in the world to unite and destroy Israel and the United States.

Iran does not hide their hate for the United States, aside from the many videos circulating the internet, they have murals throughout Iran that clearly say ‘death to America,’ apparently, John Kerry has not seen those either.

When Kerry appeared before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday to defend the Iran nuclear agreement, Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas) asked him about Tehran’s policy in the light of the “death to America” chants common at events presided over by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Hasan Rouhani.

Murals in Iran explicitly express their hatred for the United States

“It is the policy of the ayatollah – if you can answer for him – that Iran wants to destroy the United States?” Poe asked Kerry. “Is that still their policy, as far as you know?”

[Kerry:] “I don’t believe they’ve said that. I think they’ve said ‘Death to America’ in their chants, but I have not seen this specific.”

“Well, I kind of take that to mean that they want us dead,” Poe said. “That would seem like that would be their policy. He said that. That – you don’t think that’s their policy?”

“I think they have a policy of opposition to us and of great enmity, but I have no specific knowledge of a plan by Iran to actually destroy us,” Kerry replied.

In response to a question by a parliamentarian on how long this battle will continue, Khamenei said, “Battle and jihad are endless because evil and its front continue to exist. … This battle will only end when the society can get rid of the oppressors’ front with America at the head of it, which has expanded its claws on human mind, body and thought. This requires a difficult and lengthy struggle and need for great strides.”
